Taken another day off.
All documents ready (we thought).
Off we go again.
We woke up early and arrived at the local office ahead of our appointment. There was no queue so we went straight to the counter with an officer waiting for us.
We handed in all the necessary documents and happily chatted away thinking things should go on an auto pilot mode from now on.
"Where is your approval from the immigration?"....
My what?
Turned out, we found ourselves in such a unique combination of things - people don't know how to get the boxes ticked.
I am not a regular non-citizen they often come across, the fact I have a residency makes things harder for everyone.
After another around of debate and discussion, we found ourselves running around the government building again to get another piece of paper done. Numerous photocopying and explanation had finally meant we could submit our application for that missing piece of document.
"Tiga Hari".... although I don't speak much Bahasa, I know that means 3 days!
By now, we have learnt to just accept it and let the flow take us along. Tiga Hari? So be it.
If any consolation, at least the officer had said they have taken our application in, just that it is under "KIV".

Keep in view - if I have to take one learning from this VOW journey, I have learnt to accept I do not always have to be a Mulan and fight for my own rights, surrender and let the flow takes you to the same destination, just that it will take longer. Now that I am richer in time with the doing of a series of Midlife Wonders, I can afford it!
