Just married!!!

ree

Just married (not quite).... two months ago (to be exact)!

Work has been busy soon after as I became laser focused with the piece of work I need to produce. But lately, I reminded myself how the launch of Midlife Wonders has reshaped my life and my priorities, and that constant conscious efforts to keep it as a core part of my being will only be good.

So I am giving myself a break from work, on a Saturday mid morning, to write about one of the most wonderful events that has recently took place in my life.

Although it was more than two months ago, I remember well how I was having mixed feelings leading up to the day. Happy was of course the core part of it, though a tint of sadness kept creeping in from time to time as I couldn't help but to acknowledge that my beloved family will not be able to make it due to Covid. What was further fuelling the sadness was the extension of the lock down. The thought of not being able to even have a small party after becoming a Mrs. was hard to process.

My strong and wonderful husband had quickly helped me make sense to this complex set of feelings and that rain cloud passed before I even noticed.

So my family was there!

The day turned out to be intimate, cosy and simply beautiful. With less than a handful of people, we celebrated in style on a cute hillside near home. Our day was showered with lots of wishes from all over the world, with loads of laughters, beautiful flowers and a delicious home made wedding cake. We chatted, we laughed and we appreciated being present with the moment.

There is always a silver lining. When expectation is moderated, life throws pleasant surprises to you. 返璞歸真令人更投入,更讓人懂得欣賞簡單就是美,簡單便能幸福。

Dear Uncle Bill, Peggy, Grace and Abi: Thank you for making it so memorable for us. And to our photographers Jamie and Joseph, you’ve turned these beautiful moments into prints, allowing us to share this cosy day with many more abroad. Thank you.
