Buying my time out for a year

Started my career upon graduation. 17 years spent with the 1 company across 5 industries, 6 countries and regions, 7 job functions and 9 job positions. Change is the constant in this formula.
Really want a break. Really need a break.
The trigger
The thought has been growing in my head ever since I fell in love with rock climbing #climbingwonders. I want a chance to see just how far I can go with it (have always
fancy myself to be an athlete), just never had the guts to call it quit. What stopped
me are probably the same usual suspect that are stopping most people to make the change.
Courage is what is needed.
Then one day, during an important meeting at work, this senior person awarded me the courage. Not because he was all inspiring, but quite the opposite. Either way, that was enough, that became the key.
The key to free myself from this corporate prison.
Soul freedom
Ever since I have freed myself, my mind has been running wild dreaming about endless possibilities.
I think about what I want to do with the time off and how am I going to make it happen.
I think about the risks I am taking and how to create a financial plan to "buy" myself this "gift".
#midlifewonders is born as a journal to help me track and organise my thoughts.
When?
Liberation day: the day I free myself and I am some 306 days away. Extremely excited about it.
